If you've read my recent blog posts then you know my life has been kind of crazy as of late. So, time for reading new books has been hard to find.
But, I had an idea! A few weeks ago I handpicked three romance novels for a friend in a Secret Santa gift exchange. Her only stipulation: she LOVES the enemies to lovers trope. So, I thought I'd gift you all with the same books I gave to her. If you're a fan of enemies to lovers, try one of these out.
Mystic and Rider by Sharon Shinn
Sharon Shinn creates a gorgeously detailed fantasy world in her Twelve Houses novels. This first one is basically a road trip story with a group of people that shouldn't work together, but somehow do. I was obsessed with the court intrigue, and the way the characters turned into a makeshift family for each other. The romance is a slow burn, but worth the wait.
Never Seduce a Scot by Maya Banks
Warring clans forced to make a truce through marriage, this historical romance has a deaf heroine who knows EXACTLY how to communicate with her new highlander husband. When I read the synopsis of this book, I couldn't leave the store without it! Get ready for some hot historical action.
Last Goodnight Kiss Goodnight by Gena Showalter
This book was my introduction to Gina Showalter, and I'm so glad this gorgeous cover drew me in! A kidnaped warrior captured and kept in a cage as a side show attraction develops a fascination with the zoo owner's daughter who is trapped in her own way. Dark and lovely!
I hope you give these reads a shot, and I'll talk to you all soon!
Best,
Lauren
P.S. Do you have any favorite enemies to lovers romances?
